This year the Johnson County Work Crew helped the Summer of the Arts group with the Jazz festival in Iowa City. The Jazz festival encompasses three days of Jazz music on three different stages as well as a plethera of great food and interesting vendors.
During the festival the work crew helped to set up tables and chairs for all of the vendors tents as well as taking care of all of the grabadge, recycling, and compost for the festival. At the end of the three day festival, the community service participants were rewarded with an amazing fireworks show as well as some wonderfully marinated beef cabobs.
The workcrew is proud to say that we acomplished our mission and made Iowa City just a little bit greener with the work that we did at this festival. The following are some pictures taken at Jazz festival.
